During the first quarter of 2024, the top five film and television apps on the Android platform in Chile showed notable trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here is a closer look at the performance of each app:

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies by WarnerMedia Global Digital Services, LLC saw a significant rise in weekly revenue, starting at $763 in mid-February and peaking at around $32.5K by the end of March. Weekly downloads surged from 8.2K to over 66.2K during the same period. Active users also experienced a substantial increase, growing from 6.2K to nearly 178.8K.

Star+ from Disney maintained a fairly steady revenue throughout the quarter, oscillating between $22.7K and $28.9K. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, with a high of 29.0K in late January and ending at 27.2K in late March. Active user numbers remained robust, staying above 1M, peaking at 1.1M in mid-February, and closing the quarter at approximately 1.08M.

Pluto TV: Watch Movies & TV by Pluto, Inc. did not generate any revenue but showed consistent download numbers, averaging around 18K to 22K weekly. Active users hovered around 140K to 145K, with a slight decrease towards the end of March, ending at about 128K.

Disney+, another app from Disney, exhibited steady revenue figures, starting at $37.8K in early January and ending at $37.9K in late March. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, ranging from 14.4K to 18.3K. Active users saw a slight decline early in the quarter but rose back to 106.4K by the end of March.

Netflix from Netflix, Inc. did not report revenue but maintained strong download numbers, with a peak of 18.7K in early January and around 13.8K by the end of March. Active user figures started at approximately 1.96M, dipped to around 1.68M mid-quarter, and ended the quarter at about 1.75M.
